Upload a Manuscript

How to upload a written sermon manuscript to SermonAI.

If you preach from a written manuscript or detailed notes, you can upload the text directly instead of a recording.

Supported formats

  • PDF files
  • Word documents (.docx)
  • Plain text — paste directly into the text editor

How to upload a manuscript

  1. From your dashboard, click New Sermon
  2. Select Manuscript
  3. Upload your file or paste your text into the editor
  4. Click Submit

Processing is nearly instant for text uploads since no transcription is needed.

Manuscripts vs. audio

Both produce high-quality results. A few differences to keep in mind:

  • Manuscripts tend to produce more polished outputs since the source text is already clean and structured
  • Audio recordings capture the natural, spoken tone of the sermon, which some pastors prefer for outputs like blog posts and devotionals
  • Bullet-point notes or outlines work but may produce less detailed outputs — the more complete your text, the better the results

Formatting tips

  • Include your sermon title and scripture references at the top of the document
  • Use clear paragraph breaks between sections or points
  • Headers and subheadings help SermonAI understand the structure of your message
