Upload Audio or Video
How to upload sermon audio and video files to SermonAI.
Uploading a sermon recording is the most common way to use SermonAI.
Supported formats
- Audio: MP3, WAV, M4A, AAC
- Video: MP4, MOV, WEBM
File size limits
Files up to 500 MB are supported. Most sermon recordings fall well within this limit. If your file is larger, consider compressing it or trimming any non-sermon content (worship music, announcements, etc.) before uploading.
How to upload
- From your dashboard, click New Sermon
- Select Upload File
- Drag and drop your file into the upload area, or click to browse your computer
- Wait for the upload and processing to complete — you'll see a progress indicator
What happens next
SermonAI transcribes the audio using AI speech recognition. Once transcription is complete, you'll be able to select which content types to generate.
Tips for audio uploads
- Sermons recorded with a dedicated microphone produce better transcriptions than phone recordings
- Background music or crowd noise during the sermon can reduce transcription accuracy
- If your recording includes worship music or announcements before the sermon, the AI will still identify the sermon portion, but trimming beforehand can improve results
